Producer Boney Kapoor has definitively shut down speculation that actor Varun Dhawan has left the cast of the upcoming comedy sequel, No Entry Mein Entry.
Despite a flurry of media reports suggesting Dhawan’s departure, Kapoor insisted that the actor remains firmly committed to the film alongside Arjun Kapoor.

The rumors, which surfaced across online platforms over the weekend, claimed that Dhawan had to step away from the project due to a clash in his shooting schedule, particularly with his other film, Bhediya 2. This speculation was amplified following the confirmed exit of Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh from the much-anticipated sequel. Addressing the swirling casting uncertainties, Boney Kapoor was categorical in his denial.

“It is just a rumor. Arjun and Varun are very much part of the movie. It is someone’s imagination,” Kapoor stated.

He further clarified the film’s current status, confirming the central cast: “We are making No Entry Mein Entry, and Varun and Arjun are very much in the film. We are in active discussions to lock our other hero and the rest of the cast.” This statement directly contradicts earlier reports that the production team was “back to the casting board” for a new lineup.

The Diljit Dosanjh Situation
The recent controversy was initially sparked by the news of Diljit Dosanjh’s exit. In September, Kapoor confirmed that Dosanjh was no longer involved, citing date issues as the sole reason.

Dosanjh’s congested professional calendar, which includes his ongoing commitments to his Aura Tour across Australia and New Zealand from late October to mid-November, was reportedly incompatible with the sequel’s production timeline. Kapoor noted the amicable nature of the parting, expressing hope to collaborate with the singer-actor on a Punjabi film in the future.

Sequel Details and Original Hit
No Entry Mein Entry is the sequel to the 2005 box-office blockbuster No Entry. The original film, which was directed by Anees Bazmee and also produced by Boney Kapoor, featured an ensemble cast of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, and Celina Jaitly.

The film, which recently marked its 20th anniversary in August 2025, achieved cult status as one of the highest-grossing comedies of its era. The sequel, also helmed by Anees Bazmee, was formally announced in 2024 with a refreshed, younger cast to deliver a new iteration of the situational comedy.
